DONE THE DL

Exactly at the time when it was quite natural for it to be so, and not a week earlier, did I finish my DL. Hoorah, it's done, it's done, it's done! And on time too. I wrote the final exam earlier this afternoon and that finishes that. No more poetry explications! This day just can't get any better. What wonderful bliss is mine. It's such a relief to come home and not to have to think about looking at that horrendous green binder and answer questions on A Midsummer Night's Dream- which, by the way, I ended up liking. I'm so happy and yet I'm so tired. I could barely finish the exam. It consisted of 2 questions: a poetry explication and an essay on Pride and Prejudice. Which is fine if you don't have tendonitis. But I'm currently suffering from a tendonitis flare-up and so I eventually had to quit writing. But I'm happy enough with how I did and so all is well. And now I'm going to reward myself with a glass of iced tea and my book - The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - and I'm going to take them out to my porch swing. For it is MY swing. Just don't talk to my family about that!
