HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Okies. So I've been home for 5 days now and it's been pretty good. I should've been home for 6 days already, but we were slightly delayed while coming out. Car trouble ya know, gotta love those unexpected layovers two hours out of Winnipeg! Thankfully we were with a friend who happened to have grandparents living in Brandon and we were able to stay for the night, but I still had a hard time not being a little grumpy over the fact that we weren't home yet. But we did get home the next day and it's been nice ever since. It feels like Christmas out here. We didn't have any Christmas decorations up at all in Winnipeg and it just didn't feel like Christmas at all, but it does here. Well, as much as it possibly can. It just hasn't really felt much like Christmas. I don't know why that is, maybe it's because I wasn't here for the whole "Christmas month" before it actually came, when all the decorations are put up and mom makes tons and tons of baking. But even while opening presents it just didn't feel much like Christmas. Still a good and fun time, but missing the feelings that usually surround it. Ah well, can't really complain. It's been a lazy 5 days and that's been nice. Today especially, changed from pajamas to sweats and that's about it. Tomorrow will be busier though. Have to go to Saskatoon to shop for bridesmaid dress material. Um..yeah, not too excited for that one. And that's another thing, this wedding. Definitely not enthused about the planning of the wedding. Hopefully that'll change as the date gets closer, but right now June 2nd is still quite far away. Anyways, I have to spend a day in Saskatoon when I'd really rather spend it at home. Home is much comfier than sitting in a car for two and a half hours and then wandering around the city only to sit for another two and a half hours on the way home. Not to mention the fact that we won't get home til late. Ugh. But ok, too much complaining. I get to see Steve on Thursday, which should be nice seeing as how I haven't seen him since last Tuesday. Silly boy decided to stay in Winnipeg to work over Christmas. But it's been a good break, at least in my opinion. I do value my privacy, and I don't get much of that at all in Winnipeg so I've really enjoyed the last week because of that. But the next few days'll be interesting because his family is coming over for dinner on Saturday and it'll be the first time that both families have gotten together like that. Hmmm, not too sure what I think about that just yet! And really there's just not much else to say. The holidays have been good and lazy so far and that has worked to make me tired. Yes, doing nothing can make a person tired. But that's ok, I need to go to bed early anyways, gotta get up to go to Saskatoon at 7 am!
