TIRED AND SICK

So I'm back. We left here just after 10 Friday night and we got home at 10 last night. So it was quite a whirlwind trip. And I really did enjoy myself for the most part. At Banff, we went up the gondola and that was so much fun!! Going up the side of this huge mountain just made my day. Mainly because I love heights. But the views were fabulous and that's what I really wanted to see. Poor Corrie though was freaked out. I never knew that heights scared her that badly, but she was a good sport and came with us. And after the gondola we went shopping in all the cute little shops where I completely over spent. But ofcourse it's worth it!

The part I didn't enjoy was the fact that I couldn't sleep. Both Corrie and Steve were able to sleep off and on for most of the trip, but I can't sleep in moving vehicles. So I was awake from 5:30 Friday morning til 10:30 Saturday night. Steve and I nearly killed eachother early Saturday evening shortly after getting to Corrie's. He was tired and I was deliriously tired and we were both trying to make the other understand our point of view and it just wasn't working out. If we hadn't have called a truce we probably wouldn't be friends anymore! I think that was the only misshap of the whole trip though so that's pretty good overall.

The drive home from Edmonton was the worst. It felt like it would never end. Especially the stretch from Saskatoon to Moose Jaw. I was so excited when I saw the city lights and realized that we were only 15 minutes away from home and my own bed! It was just the greatest thing to see. Other than the mountains. Nothing ever beats the mountains!

But ofcourse I'm sick now. really sick actually. I didn't know if I was going to be able to work the entire 8 hours today and I sincerely doubt that I'll be able to tomorrow. Staying awake that long has completely wiped me out and every step that I take hurts like heck. I woke up with a cold this morning too which isn't a surprise at all considering that I was cold for most of the weekend. And a trip like that just really isn't the smartest idea when you're tired to begin with. So I'm sick, but it was still worth it.
